Hunt these

Hehe, gotcha there ;)

No, I’m not a mass-murder. No, no and no!

But I hunt the following things when writing copy:

  1. Pronouns

  2. Big words

  3. Repeat word

  4. Qualifiers

  5. Adverbs

Because these can literally make your words frail as a wimpy kid.

Here’s why

Tim shot Bob.

He shot him.

Ehm, but who was shot in the end?

Yeah, that’s my point.

That’s why you shan’t confuse your reader.

Next…

Big words.

Just don’t. Most readers are either not that savvy or English isn’t their first language.

Have mercy and stop being a lil smart-ass.

Repeat words are bad… as they annoy your reader.

What if I started every new sentence with “and“?

And wouldn’t that annoy you???

Qualifiers (words like “some“, “most of“ etc.) make your writing look weak.

Are you a bitch or do you want to be the boss of your copy, tough guy?😉

And finally…

Adverbs.

They just suck. Nobody cares if the hero dropped his steak DRAMATICALLY, ANGRILY, SADLY and whatnot. Emotional appeal is conveyed subconsciously, my dear friend.

Tim shot Bob. And it doesn’t matter in what fashion.

Are you on the same side as me, or will you continue writing weak confusing prose?

Lemme know by replying ;)

P.S I always read your feedback. So don’t be shy: share your thoughts or what you’d like me to write about🤠

P.S.S If you liked this edition, tell your friends! I want to give value to as much people as possible, so don’t be THAT guy ;)
